I love growing them, foraging for them, eating them and using them as medicine. Especially the unique varieties that grow here in my home state of Colorado. Spending my childhood amongst their beauty heavily influenced the person I am today and inspired me to pursue a career in holistic health.
I am an Integrative Health Specialist and a Registered Herbalist with the American Herbalist Guild. I am also a Certified Clinical Nutritionist and Flower Essence Practitioner. I help my clients activate their natural ability to heal themselves using tools from the Vitalist tradition, including Medicinal Herbs, Nutrition, Mind/Body Awareness and Flower Essences. With an extensive background in sustainable agricultural practices, I also engage with my community through education and instruction on responsible wildcrafting, as well as how to grow food and medicinal plants at home.
I hold Bachelors Degrees in Environmental Geography and Eastern Religious Philosophy from the University of Colorado at Boulder. These two fields of study have provided me with a rich foundation of knowledge about bioregional plants and the people and philosophies that have historically utilized them. I completed my education at the Colorado School of Clinical Herbalism. This rigorous program required an in-depth understanding of botany, phytochemistry, disease pathology, anatomy, physiology and the medicinal use and preparation of herbs and nutritional foods.
